We've arrived. Phoenix to Dulles, Dulles to Rome, Rome to Athens...A simple 24 hours of plane travel and we are almost to our real destination of Santorini. But, for now, we've taken a room at the airport hotel, Sofitel. For a mere $300.00 US we have a small room, queen sized bed and a hot shower. Praise be to God. After all this travel, the only thing I feel is smelly, cold and tired. Isn't it ironic that this statue was in the lobby to greet us woeful travelers? Felt like someone had miraculously carved stone within minutes after seeing me waiting for Scott to check in. Hello Athens, good night...
