Grinch Me

295 Christmas Ornament, Paradise Valley, AZ, Nikon D-80, f 3.3, 1/60, ISO 200, 11-30-09

It's tradition! Every year, the day after Thanksgiving, they pull out their Christmas decorations, videos and music and begin the holiday season with unbridled joy and excitement. It feels very much like the "Whoville" from Dr. Suess's book, The Grinch who stole Christmas.

Inspired by their example, we too are trying to follow their enthusiasm and bedeck our halls quicker than we usually do which is, I promise no later than Christmas Eve. Huh? Is that late?

Anyway, if they are the Lou Who's, then you can only imagine who I am at this very moment...My heart is very little indeed. Grumpy with too much stuff after years of collecting items and sad because the usual 4 person team that decorates house and tree has been reduced to 3. Alexa headed back to college in Tucson and the boys and I are shouldering the work load as if we were in a retail business and only doing our job because there is a paycheck at the end of the day. Bah hum bug I say...

Happy holidays to all you Whoville, holly high, (Mackay Family) Christmas lovin' peeps!
